This mountain range from Tomolasta to Morro, was formed during the Tertiary era, explained Dr. Ariel Ortiz Suarez Geology. The Tomolasta is geologically formed by volcanic rock that solidified when they reached the surface. The name of the rock is "Lasita" petrographically talking.
Being at the top, the summit gives a sense either may be all the hills of the province and to the mountain range of Sierra de Comechingones on the border with the province of Cordoba, the east. To the west, on clear days and the sunset, you can see some high peaks of the Andes. The climb is steep with 4 x 4 vehicle. On foot or by road bike (like the shepherds). On his way can be seen different types of rocks, there are several viewpoints to take good pictures and the impressive construction of stone walls that cover much of the route, a titanic work once done by locals. During winter, the landscape is dry with tall golden in the spring and summer, the green is all the waterfalls that fall after the rains. (By Oscar Angel Flores)
